AC Milan come away from Florence with a 1–1 draw on Serie A 2025/26 matchday 20. It was a difficult afternoon, with Fiorentina taking the lead midway through the second half through Comuzzo. The Rossoneri, however, did not give up and equalised in the 90th minute thanks to Nkunku, set up by Fofana. This draw, the second in a row, temporarily keeps the Diavolo in second place in the standings on 40 points. Allegri’s team continue their unbeaten run in the league, even if they have stalled a bit since the match against Cagliari. This result once again leaves a bitter taste: for the chances missed in the first half, for being below par in the second, and for the risk of losing the match at the end.
The Rossoneri showed character and determination, responding well after going behind and constantly pushing for a goal without giving up. It was a tough match, full of chances. Allegri opted for his classic 3-5-2, but with several changes in the initial team, influenced by a relentless run of fixtures, and he made important substitutions during the match that injected fresh energy. Nkunku’s introduction proved decisive (his fourth goal of the season), also highlighting the positive hour of play from Füllkrug on his first start. Despite a few problems and mistakes, AC Milan once again demonstrated desire, strength, and unity. A short rest, then back to work to improve and build: on Thursday, 15 January 15 at 20:45 CET, we will be back in action away at Como.

MATCH REPORT
Fiorentina threatened first through Gosens, who blasted over from outside the area. There were plenty of spaces to exploit: De Winter made a decisive block to thwart Pongračić (11'), while De Gea was quick off his line to beat Pulisic to the ball a minute later. AC Milan gradually settled into the game, with Pulisic and Füllkrug combining well. In fact, Chris had two big chances set up by Niclas: first, the US international rounded the goalkeeper but fired into the side netting (18'); then, he prodded at De Gea from close range. The pressure continued: the home goalkeeper beat away a Gabbia header (22'), before Pulisic - with Füllkrug again involved - shot wide on the counter. Ricci failed to keep an effort down (39'), a Ndour header lacked power (40'), and Guðmundsson failed to hit the target (43') as half-time approached.
At the start of the second half, Gosens threatened but Maignan saved with his feet (50'), before the Rossoneri goalkeeper was forced into action again by Parisi shortly afterwards (51'). In the 56th minute, a deflected Dodò strike finished over the bar; from the resulting corner, Maignan gathered a Gosens header. Fiorentina were pushing: Kean flashed an attempt across the face of goal (59'), while Maignan was again in place to foil Gosens from a Dodò cross (62'). The breakthrough arrived in the 66th minute: Comuzzo met a corner in the six-yard box and nodded in via the inside of the post. Parisi tested Maignan again (73'), before Brescianini wasted a good chance three minutes later. AC Milan threw everything forward in the closing stages. Bartesaghi blazed over from a free-kick (82'), while Ricci struck powerfully but off target with two minutes of normal time to go. The equaliser arrived in the 90th minute: after the Rossoneri had regained possession, Fofana played a delicate through ball for Nkunku, who smashed home. However, AC Milan almost lost the game in stoppage time, with Brescianini rattling the bar (96') and Maignan making a fantastic stop to thwart Kean (97').
