AC Milan are preparing to wrap up their season at San Siro against Cagliari on matchday 38 of Serie A, on Sunday 24 May at 20:45 CEST. A hugely important game and a must-win in order to secure Champions League football next season. A final push to end the season on a high, in front of what is expected to be a packed San Siro. The team will take to the pitch wearing the new 2026/27 Home Kit. With a few hours to go until kick-off, here is the match preview.

    LATEST FROM MILANELLO
The team has been hard at work this week preparing for their final game at home. Luka Modrić, who was on the back on the bench at Marassi in the win against Genoa, was back training with the group and is available to play again, with a protective mask. Saelemaekers, Estupiñan and Leão are also back after missing the previous match through suspension. The coach, therefore, has a full squad to choose from as they look to end their run of three home games without a win and give the Rossoneri fans one last reason to celebrate at San Siro. Athekame, Fofana, Gabbia and Modrić are one booking away from suspension.

Allegri, ahead of AC Milan v Cagliari: "Tomorrow is the last game of the season, and the most important for us, for whoever works at Milanello and Casa Milan, and for all the fans, who have also been by our side and supported the guys. It won't be easy, we've got 100 minutes to get the job done. The mistake we must not make is approaching the match with less focus than we did in Genoa. The stadium will be full, we know what awaits us, and we'll need the support of the crowd."

Pisacane's side, in his first season as a Serie A coach, secured survival in their last match thanks to the 2-1 win over Torino, and arrive at San Siro with no particular objectives left to chase. In the reverse fixture against the Sardinians on January 2, AC Milan won 1-0 thanks to Leão's goal early in the second half. Among the Rossoblù, this season, 2005-born Palestra has stood out, being named Serie A's Best Defender, and is expected to start tonight. Pavoletti, Idrissi, Liteta, Folorunsho and Kılıçsoy are unavailable.

Pisacane in his press-conference: "We are heading to Milan to play our game and finish the season on a positive note. They have an important objective to fight for, but I hope that our freedom from any pressure will allow us to play with more confidence and composure. We want to play with spirit and make our fans proud."
