Milan Primavera wrapped up October in the best possible fashion, earning a commanding 5-0 win away to Monza on Matchday 9 to secure their first away victory of the season. It was a one-sided affair in Brianza, with the Rossoneri taking control of the game and dictating the tempo from the opening minutes. The victory allows Renna's side to build on their Coppa Italia win over Catanzaro and head into November with renewed confidence and optimism. Their first match of the new month will see them host newly promoted AlbinoLeffe on Sunday, November 8th.
The four goalscorers stole the show at Monzello, led by captain Mattia Zaramella, who bagged a brace to make it two games in a row on the scoresheet after also netting against Fiorentina last time out. Max Anastasio also scored for the second straight game, while Riccardo Grassini and Yanis Messaoudi both opened their accounts at this level. It was a team effort from the Rossoneri, who saw their hard work on the training ground at the PUMA House of Football pay off. The win was their first away from home since last season and takes them to 13 points in the standings.

MATCH REPORT
The game took a little while to get going, partly due to a couple of injury concerns for Monza's Nicolò Ballabio. After an early opportunity for Fardin, Renna's side began to take control. Anastasio fired wide in the 9th minute, followed by an effort from Domniței four minutes later. Domniței then saw his close-range header blocked in the 16th minute. AC Milan continued to dominate possession and took the lead in the 24th minute. A great run from Tartaglia ended with a pass to Anastasio, who made his way into the box before firing a powerful right-footed shot into the near post. The Rossoneri doubled their advantage just four minutes later. Domniței's right-footed effort was parried straight back into play by Ballabio, allowing Zaramella to tap home from close range. The hosts tried to respond, but AC Milan's defense stood firm. The Rossoneri came close to adding a third on the counter in the 38th minute, when Nolli struck the outside of the post. Buonaiuto had a chance before the break, but his effort was blocked by Messaoudi in stoppage time.
AC Milan picked up where they left off after the break, with Zaramella and Angelicchio both testing Ballabio early in the second half. Captain Cullotta came close in the 63rd minute, rising highest to meet Nolli's corner, only to be denied by another good save from the Monza goalkeeper. The third goal was coming, and it arrived in the 65th minute. Grassini, who had only just come off the bench, reacted quickest to Zaramella's pressing and capitalized on a mistake in Monza's buildup play to find the back of the net. Just as they had in the first half, the Rossoneri struck twice in quick succession. In the 70th minute, Dotta delivered a low cross into the box, where Zaramella made a well-timed run to tap home and complete his brace. Both coaches made their remaining substitutions during the final 20 minutes, and the game settled down until the 90th minute, when AC Milan added a fifth. Messaoudi rose highest in the box to head home from a right-sided corner and put the finishing touch on an emphatic performance. After two minutes of stoppage time, it finished 5-0 to the Rossoneri.
POST-MATCH STATEMENTS
"I'm happy with both my performance and the team's," said Max Anastasio. "I always try to get forward more and make an impact in attack. We played well against Fiorentina too, but things didn't go our way. We had a good week of training, and that showed today. We performed well both defensively and offensively. We're happy with the result and can enjoy it, but our focus is already on preparing for the next game."
"We've put in good performances in most of our games. We were coming off a defeat in which we played some good football and deserved a little more," explained head coach Giovanni Renna. "After the Coppa Italia game, in which we did well to advance despite being without the players who were with Milan Futuro, something we're proud of, as it shows the great work we're doing, today's game was never going to be easy. Monza is a tough, well-organized team, but the players put in an outstanding performance."
