PUMA RE:FIBRE, AC MILAN AND PUMA TOGETHER AGAIN TO HELP REDUCE WASTE

A joint initiative promoting the donation of used garments to give them a new lease on life will kick off on Saturday night at the San Siro stadium, on the occasion of the match against Udinese

Consistent with the path taken in previous seasons, AC Milan and PUMA are joining forces once again for RE:FIBRE, PUMA's program to transform textile waste and other used materials into new textiles, a promising and more sustainable long-term solution for recycling polyester textile waste. All PUMA RE:FIBRE garments are made of at least 95% of recycled textile waste and other used materials made of polyester.

The project kickoff is scheduled for 6:45pm on Saturday, November 4, at the San Siro stadium, just before the Serie A match against Udinese. Near Gate 7, within a dedicated area featuring music and entertainment, Rossoneri fans can participate in the project and take up the challenge presented by both brands, and especially by footballer Yunus Musah and Brand Ambassador Daniele Massaro, who are the faces of the call to action featured on the Club's digital channels.

Apart from the opportunity to meet the Rossoneri legend Daniele Massaro, fans visiting the RE:FIBRE installation at the stadium will find two large collection bins where they can deposit one old garment of any brand or material they wish to recycle, giving it a second chance and actively contributing to waste reduction. Project participants will receive a 15% discount voucher for purchases at the official AC Milan stores, alongside a special gift for the first participants.

Daniele Massaro, Brand Ambassador of AC Milan, commented: "Through the sustain of this PUMA project, AC Milan once again demonstrates its understanding of its role as a social institution and its commitment to making a concrete contribution to a better future. I am confident that our fans will be on our side and help us reduce waste by giving new life to their old clothes."

Yunus Musah, PUMA athlete, Rossoneri midfielder and the face of the initiative, added: "I am proud to be a part of a Club that that supports initiatives such as PUMA RE:FIBRE and I hope that this project can inspire each of us to adopt more sustainable practices in our daily lives. It's the small actions that make a difference."

The match against Udinese won't be the only opportunity to participate in RE:FIBRE. Throughout the 2023/24 season, all Rossoneri fans can contribute to the collection by placing any clothing in the designated containers that will be installed at Casa Milan and the AC Milan stores. Items not suitable for recycling will be donated to the Vesti Solidale non-profit cooperative, which will use them for projects supporting individuals and families in situations of significant social hardship.

This initiative further highlights AC Milan's commitment to socially important issues, consistently expressed by the Club and Fondazione Milan through their virtuous partnerships and direct engagement with Rossoneri fans.
