10 FACTS AHEAD OF LAZIO V AC MILAN

The stats that you need to know ahead of the Rossoneri's showdown with the Biancocelesti

Following their draw against SPAL, another away trip is in store for AC Milan: the Rossoneri will face Simone Inzaghi’s high-flying Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico this evening. It’s a very important fixture for the team as Coach Pioli comes up against his former side.  Ahead of kick-off, which is scheduled for 21:45 CEST this evening, here are some facts and figures concerning Lazio v AC Milan.

DIRECT ENCOUNTERS

1- Lazio haven’t won a Serie A match against AC Milan in the second half of the season since January 2015. Since then, there have been two draws and two Rossoneri wins.

2- After losing 2-0 to Lazio in February 2012, AC Milan have found the net in each of the last 15 matches they’ve played against the Biancocelesti.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS IN ROME

3- Both teams have found the net in each of the last seven Serie A encounters between Lazio and AC Milan at the Olimpico.

STATE OF PLAY

4- AC Milan have now scored in eleven consecutive games in the league. The Rossoneri haven’t found the net in twelve successive Serie A matches since September 2017.

5- AC Milan have scored at least two goals in each of their last three matches. The Diavolo haven’t done this for four league matches in a row since December 2016.  

PLAYER FOCUS

6- Zlatan Ibrahimović has scored six goals against Lazio in Serie A, although only two of these have come at the Stadio Olimpico (the most recent in September 2010).

7- Three of the four goals Rafael Leão has scored in Serie A this season came on the road.  

8- Out of the Portuguese players who have scored at least four goals in the Top Five European leagues during the 2019/20 season, only João Félix is younger than Rafael Leão.

9- Ante Rebić, who failed to find the net against SPAL, hasn’t gone two consecutive Serie A games without scoring in 2020.

COACHES

10- Stefano Pioli was in charge of Lazio for 69 Serie A matches between 2014 and 2016, with his league record while at the Biancocelesti reading as follows: 32 wins, 15 draws and 22 defeats.
