Having beaten Parma and Bologna at San Siro, AC Milan are gearing up for the match that could end their bad run against teams from Emilia once and for all. This evening, Sassuolo will be hosting the Rossoneri at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia, and if the Rossoneri are to have a chance of securing a Europa League place, it will be important to get the win here. Ahead of kick-off, scheduled for 21:45 CEST tonight, we present you with some key facts, figures and trivia to get you in the mood for the match.

    PREVIOUS ENCOUNTERS
    1 –
Sassuolo have not beaten AC Milan since March 2015: in their subsequent meetings, the Rossoneri have won five, with the other two ending level.

SASSUOLO’S HOME RECORD AGAINST AC MILAN:
    2 –
AC Milan have come away with all three points in their last three away matches at Sassuolo in Serie A. The Emilians could become the only team that the Rossoneri have beaten away from home in each of the last four seasons.

    CURRENT FORM
    3 –
AC Milan still haven’t lost away from San Siro in Serie A in 2020. Their only away defeat so far came in the Derby in February.

4 – AC Milan have scored at least two goals in each of their last four away games in Serie A: the Rossoneri have not done better since December 2012, when Massimiliano Allegri was at the helm (six).

5 – The Rossoneri are one of just two teams that are still unbeaten in Serie A since the league restart, the other being Atalanta.

6 – AC Milan have scored at least two goals in each of the last eight Serie A matches: the Rossoneri haven’t done better since September 1999 (nine).

    GENERAL STATISTICS
    7 –
Since Stefano Pioli started at AC Milan, no side have had more clean sheets than the Rossoneri (nine) in Serie A.

8 – Before the break, AC Milan allowed their opposition an average of 12.1 shots a game, of which 4.5 hit the target – the averages after the break have fallen to just 9.8 and 3.

    PLAYER FOCUS
    9 –
Sassuolo could become the 29th team Ibrahimović has scored against in Serie A: of all the non-Italian players currently playing in Serie A, only Goran Pandev (32) and Rodrigo Palacio (31) have scored against more different opponents in the top flight of Italian football.

10 – The next match will be Ginaluigi Donnaruma’s 200th appearance for the Rossoneri in all competitions.
