AC Milan made a strong start to the league season, beating Bologna 2-0 at San Siro on matchday one. Zlatan Ibrahimović took centre stage once more, bagging both goals in tonight's victory.  Looking at this evening's match, it seems clear that nothing as changed from a month ago, when the Rossoneri combined wins with an expansive and exciting playing style. The team's quality was on full display, and we've selected seven post-match stats to highlight this fact. Here they are:

- Zlatan Ibrahimović has scored more than one goal in the opening game of the season for the first time in Serie A, a feat he has managed twice before in one of the Top 5 European Leagues (in Ligue 1 in 2012/13 and 2014/15).

- The Swede has been involved in 16 goals in 16 games on matchday one in the Top 5 European Leagues during his career (twelve goals, four assists).

- Ibra has scored for three matches in a row in one of the Top 5 European Leagues for the first time since December 2016, when he was at Manchester United.

- Zlatan has been involved in eight goals in eight Serie A matches against Bologna in Serie A (six goals, two assists).

- AC Milan are unbeaten in their last 13 league games (W10 D3), the longest ongoing undefeated streak in Serie A; the last time the Rossoneri went more than 13 consecutive games without a loss was in April 2013 (14).

- AC Milan have won six of their last seven home games (D1) in Serie A, scoring an average of 2.8 goals per game in this period.

- AC Milan have won three of their last five opening matches in Serie A (L2), having failed to score only once in the process.
