AC Milan have won eight of their first ten games this season and will surely be hungry to continue this excellent run. Serie A matchday 11 pits the Rossoneri against the Giallblù from Parma in the late game tomorrow night (20:45 CET). Stefano Pioli - who is a Parma native and both played for and coached the Crociati - and his side take on Fabio Liverani's men. Ahead of kick-off, here are ten stats:
MEETINGS AT SAN SIRO
1- After having failed to score in three of their first seven home games against Parma, AC Milan have since scored in each of their last 19, winning 15, drawing three and losing once.
2- AC Milan have scored at least two goals in each of their last eight home games against Parma in Serie A: 22 goals scored in total, 2.8 per game.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
3- AC Milan have scored in all of their last 14 games in the league against the Ducali: among sides currently in Serie A, the Rossoneri are only on a longer scoring streak against Lazio (16) and Cagliari (21).
4- This will be the fifth meeting between the two sides in December in Serie A: after the Gialloblù won in 1996, the Rossoneri won in the following three.
GENERAL STATS
5- In 2020, AC Milan have taken 71 points from 31 league games: their average of 2.29 points per game in this calendar year is the second-best of any Rossoneri side in the three-points-per-win era (2.35 ppg in 2004). The Rossoneri have also obtained the most victories of any team in Europe's Top-5 leagues since June (17) and are, along with Atlético Madrid, one of only two teams not to have lost a league game in that period.
6- AC Milan have scored more headed goals (four) than any other team in Serie A so far this season, while Parma have scored none.
PLAYER FOCUS
7- The game against Parma back in July was one of two in which Hakan Çalhanoğlu had a hand in at least two goals in a single Serie A game (one goal, two assists).
8- Parma are one of two teams (the other being Genoa), against who Alessio Romagnoli has scored the most goals in Serie A - including one in the last game.
9- Davide Calabria has won the most duels in Serie A (46), while only Bologna's Jerdy Schouten (101) has made more recoveries than Kessie (82). Franck, who has already equalled his tally for goals in the whole of last season (four in 35 games), has scored in each of his two home games against Parma at San Siro.
COACH FOCUS
10- Stefano Pioli made his first 22 appearances as a coach in Serie A with Parma in 2006/07. The current AC Milan coach has, until now, collected 499 points as a coach in the top flight of Italian football. He also has a positive record against the Crociati: five wins, four draws and three defeats.
