One of those matches where slipping up is not an option. It’s a game where the Rossoneri will need to be attentive and determined as they look to carry on flying high at the top of the league. When the full-time whistle in AC Milan v Crotone blows, the Diavolo mustn’t have any regrets. But before today’s 15:00 CET kick-off at San Siro, there are some facts and figures that you need to know:

    DIRECT ENCOUNTERS
1- AC Milan have won four out of five matches against Crotone in Serie A (D1), keeping a clean sheet in the past three. The last time the Pitagorici scored against the Rossoneri in Serie A was in April 2017.
2- AC Milan have emerged victorious from their last four fixtures against newly promoted sides in Serie A. The last time they went at least five matches unbeaten against teams new to the division was in May 2012 (an eight-game winning run under Massimiliano Allegri).

    STATE OF PLAY

3- With 46 points from 20 matches, AC Milan are averaging 2.30 points per game: only in 2003/04 (2.41) and 2005/06 (2.31) have the Rossoneri finished a season with a higher average.

4- AC Milan and Crotone haven’t drawn any of their last eight matches. Only Sampdoria (eleven) are currently on a longer run without playing out a stalemate.

    GENERAL STATS
5- AC Milan have scored the most goals from dead-ball situations this Serie A season (18). Crotone, meanwhile, have conceded the most from open play (38).

6- AC Milan have spent the longest amount of time in front this season (901 minutes), while Crotone have been the worst in this regard (224’). The Pitagorici have also been behind the longest (875’).

7- No team has kept fewer clean sheets than Crotone during the current Serie A campaign (two, the same as Cagliari and Sampdoria). Meanwhile, along with Napoli, AC Milan have recorded the most shutouts this season (seven).

    PLAYER FOCUS

8- Zlatan Ibrahimović (499) is just one goal away from scoring his 500th career club goal in all competitions. His tally of 81 for AC Milan is only beaten by the 156 goals he scored for PSG. Crotone could become the 34th team that Ibra has faced in Serie A and the 31st side that he’s found the net against in the Italian top flight.
9- Crotone are one of three teams that Mario Mandžukić has scored three goals against in Serie A (Atalanta and Fiorentina are the other two). Furthermore, out of the sides he’s faced on more than two occasions in the Top 5 European leagues, Crotone are the only team that Mandžukić has found the net against every time he’s played them (three goals in three fixtures).

10- The only Serie A goal that Brahim Díaz has scored came in the reverse fixture against Crotone, a finish which sealed a 2-0 Rossoneri win.
