8 FACTS ON PARMA V AC MILAN

The main stats ahead of the Rossoneri's matchday 30 fixture in Serie A

A difficult task awaits in the hunt for Champions League qualification. Parma v AC Milan will kick off at 18:00 CEST on Saturday 10 April at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, with the Rossoneri set to face a side in desperate need of points to avoid the drop. Here are all the facts and figures that you need to know ahead of the matchday 30 clash in Serie A:

DIRECT ENCOUNTERS
1- Parma and AC Milan are set to meet for the 54th time in Serie A, with the Rossoneri having won 28 and lost eleven matches against the Crociati. 14 draws complete the picture. The Diavolo are unbeaten in their last seven fixtures against Parma in the Italian top flight (five wins and two draws).

2- The two sides have come up against each other 26 times at the Tardini in Serie A: there have been eight Parma wins, eleven AC Milan victories and seven draws. The Rossoneri have found the net in each of their last seven trips to Parma in Italy’s top division. The last time the Diavolo failed to score at the Tardini was in March 2010.

STATE OF PLAY
3- AC Milan have won 14 of their last 16 away fixtures in Serie A. Parma, meanwhile, have lost seven of their last nine home matches in the league, conceding an average of 2.2 goals per game.

PLAYER FOCUS
4- Parma are the only side that Theo Hernández has scored more than one goal against in Serie A: the AC Milan full-back has found the net three times against the Crociati (including the brace he bagged earlier on in the season).

5- Along with Palermo and Roma, Parma are team that Zlatan Ibrahimović has had the most goalscoring success against in Serie A (ten goals). On average, the AC Milan striker has scored a goal every 89 minutes against the Crociati. When all the opponents he’s faced at least eight times are taken into account, he hasn’t done better against any other side in terms of goal frequency.

6- Hakan Çalhanoğlu is the player who has created the most chances for his teammates this Serie A campaign: 76, six more than he conjured up during the whole of last season (70). The Turkish playmaker has been involved in four goals in his last two Serie A fixtures against Parma (one goal, three assists).

7- The only Serie A goal that Samu Castillejo has scored with his head came against Parma: the Spaniard netted all of his other six with his left foot.

8- Out of all the players with more than one substitute goal this Serie A season, only Roberto Piccoli (2001) is younger than Jens Petter Hauge (October 1999).
