The main stats ahead of the Rossoneri's second clash of the Champions League group stage

We're back to work in the Champions League, two weeks after an emotional but ultimately unsuccessful trip to Anfield. San Siro will welcome the return of the premier European competition and will drive the Rossoneri in a very tricky tie against Atlético Madrid, the current Spanish champions. Ahead of kick-off, here are a few stats and facts on matchday 2 in Group B.

1- AC Milan have kept just one clean sheet in their last ten home games in European competitions (3-0 against Sparta Praha in October 2020), all in the Europa League (including qualifiers).

2- This will be the Rossoneri's first Champions League home fixture since the 1-0 defeat to Atlético Madrid in February 2014.

3- AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimović has scored in five of his last six starts in the Champions League (five goals), though this could be his first start in the competition since April 2016 (against Manchester City).

4- In the defeat at Anfield on matchday 1, Brahim Díaz (22 years and 43 days) became the youngest player to score on his Champions League debut with AC Milan since Yoann Gourcuff in September 2006 (20 years and 64 days against AEK Athens).

5- Before Díaz, the last player to score in his first two Champions League games in an AC Milan shirt was his current teammate Zlatan Ibrahimović in September 2010.
