The break is behind us as the team is back in Serie A mode. Igor Tudor's Verona come to San Siro; the Scaglieri have really turned their form around in recent weeks. The same fixture last season ended 2-2 after a brilliant comeback from the Rossoneri. This year, it's a must-win match if AC Milan want to keep pace with Napoli in the upper echelons of the table. Ahead of kick-off on Serie A matchday 8, here are a few stats and facts on the game against the Gialloblù:

    HEAD-TO-HEAD
1- AC Milan and Hellas Verona have met 58 times in Serie A; the Rossoneri, who lead the head-to-head record with 27 wins to 10 (21 draws), have never lost at home to the Scaglieri in the op flight, winning 16 and drawing 13.

2- Among the teams, against whom AC Milan have never lost a home game in Serie A, Hellas are the team that the Rossoneri have played the most matches, 29.

3- Both sides have scored in each of the last five meetings between the two at San Siro, four of these ended level.

    CURRENT FORM
4- AC Milan have won all of their first three home games in the league this season; the Rossoneri haven't won the first four home games in Serie A since 2005/06.

    GENERAL STATS
5- AC Milan's last nine goals in Serie A have been scored by eight different players; the only player with two goals in that period was Brahim Díaz.

    PLAYER FOCUS
6- Olivier Giroud scored a brace against Cagliari on his debut at San Siro for AC Milan. Since 1994/95, just four other AC Milan players have scored three goals in their first two Serie A games at San Siro: Bacco, Balotelli, Bierhoff and Pato.

7- After scoring three goals in his first seven games in Serie A in his first two seasons with the Club, Rafael Leão has already bagged three this season. The Portuguese forward has completed 18 dribbles this season; only Sassuolo's Boga and Lazio's Felipe Anderson have more this season so far.

8- The three goals scored by Brahim Díaz have added four points to AC Milan’s tally this Serie A season: only Fiorentina’s Dušan Vlahović has done better in this regard.

9- Ante Rebić's next game will be his 50th appearance for AC Milan in all competitions and his 50th start overall in Serie A. The Croatian forward is one of the exes of the match; he played ten times in Serie A for Verona between January and May 2016 but didn't score or provide an assist in that period.
