AC Milan return to San Siro after a convincing win on Saturday against Juventus, a victory that restored the group with confidence after their loss away in London. The calendar offers the Rossoneri a chance to redeem their own defeat against the Blues, due to arrive in Milan for matchday 4 of Group E of the Champions League.  An important match for the European path of Coach Pioli's team, here are the most interesting facts and statistics on the eve of AC Milan v Chelsea:

    SAN SIRO AND LONDON
The only other match against Chelsea played at San Siro dates back to the first round of the Group stage in the 1999/00 season and ended 1-1. The last win for the Rossoneri at home to an English side came in February 2012: a 4-0 victory against Arsenal with goals from Boateng, Robinho (brace) and Ibrahimović.

    THE BLUES IN ITALY
Considering last week's defeat, the Rossoneri have never lost two games in a row against the Blues. Chelsea's last away win against an Italian side in the Champions League was a 4-0 win against Lazio in November 2003. Since then, the Blues have not won any of their last seven matches in Italy in the competition (6 losses), losing their last five between 2010 and 2021.

    RAFA IN EUROPE
Rafael Leão has been directly involved in four goals in seven games for AC Milan in the Champions League, consisting of one goal and three assists. The Portuguese international is the best among the Rossoneri in this edition of the competition in terms of assists (two), touches in the opponent's box (18) and dribbles completed (8).

    TWO FROM TWO
AC Milan ended a six-match home winless streak in the Champions League (3 draws, 3 losses) by beating Dinamo Zagreb at San Siro in this edition; the Rossoneri could make it two consecutive home wins in the tournament in the same season for the first time since 2011/12, when they beat Viktoria Plzeň and BATE Borisov.

    FIKAYO THE ALL-ROUNDER
Fikayo Tomori has started more attacking moves than any other player in this edition of the Champions League (47). In addition to his valuable contribution in the defensive and building phases, Tomori scored in the last previous game against an English team at San Siro, namely the match against Liverpool in the last edition of the competition.
