AC MILAN v LAZIO: THE NUMBERS FROM THE GAME

The numbers to come out from the 2-0 win

It was brilliant win in a vital head-head clash with a rival at the top end of the table, in what is a massive weekend for the fight for Champions League qualification. AC Milan shone once again beating Lazio 2-0 at San Siro thanks to first-half goals from Bennacer and Hernández. They are three big points and another step forward towards the target, with just a few games remaining. Here are the stats produced from our matchday 33 in Serie A:

1- AC Milan are unbeaten in seven games (W3, D4) in a single Serie A campaign for the first time since last May (16).

2- The Rossoneri have kept four clean sheets in their last seven Serie A matches, as many as in their previous 18 games.

3- Since arriving at AC Milan in the 2019/20 season, Theo Hernández, along with Robin Gosens, is the defender who has been involved in the most number of goals in Serie A (39: 22 goals and 17 assists). He is also the defender to have scored the most number of goals following a dribbling drive forward (seven).

4- Bennacer grabbed his second league goal of the campaign and fifth overall in Serie A: two of these have come from an assist by Giroud. Ismaël has scored in a Serie A home match for the first time since July 2020 (against Bologna, his first-ever goal in Italy's top-flight).

5- Olivier Giroud is the oldest player to have provided at least five assists in this year's Serie A (five assists for the Frenchman).

6- Mike Maignan is the only goalkeeper to have provided two assists in the last two Serie A seasons (the first in February 2022 for Rafael Leão).

7- Serie A has the most goalkeeper assists this season out of Europe's top-five leagues (five: Dragowski, Tatarusanu, Maignan, Carnesecchi and Di Gregorio).
