AC MILAN v SAMPDORIA: THE NUMBERS FROM THE GAME

The Rossoneri returned to winning ways in the league, and their second successive one at home, beating Sampdoria convincingly 5-1 at San Siro. A great first half - thanks to Rafa Leão's finish and a brace from a fired up Olivier Giroud - paved the way for the win, which was added to by Díaz and Giroud again after the break. 5- Sandro Tonali has equalled his record of assists (seven) in a single Serie A campaign (seven also in 2019/20 with Brescia.

6- The Rossoneri have not scored at least five goals in a single game in Serie A since 12 May 2021 when they beat Torino 7-0 away from home. At home, the last time was on 18 July 2020 (5-1 win over Bologna).

7-  For the first time Brahim Díaz has provided two assists in a game in Europe's top-five leagues. He has provided seven assists in Serie A this season, one more than in his last two Serie A seasons.

8- Stefano Pioli has won 100 games with AC Milan in all competitions, winning more than 700 points in Serie A in his career (702).
