CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TICKETS: A MESSAGE FROM IVAN GAZIDIS TO THE ROSSONERI

Cari Milanisti,

I want to address some of the concerns that have been raised around the tickets for our long-awaited return to the Champions League.

First of all, I want to personally ensure you all that every decision that we take as a management team is made only in the best interest of the Club and of the Rossoneri's community.

We are all still facing the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic and the Club suffered greatly from your absence from the stadium for the last 18 months, particularly in terms of the emotions and energy in the stadium, but also the impact on the club's financial position.

I will continue to reiterate this message on every possible occasion: our only objective is to make our fans proud by delivering a successful team in a financially responsible way. All of the revenue generated by the club is reinvested to achieve this goal and growing these revenues and investing them back into the club well is our only path to success: we must be united behind this purpose in order to bring this club back to the top of European football where it belongs.

Of course, ticket sales are an important part of this equation and across the season we try to find a balance with our ticket prices that enables us to deliver the revenues that the club needs without excluding or penalising any sections of our large and passionate fan base.

I have heard your concerns and can understand that in this case we are not aligned in how we have set the balance. As such, we have re-evaluated our decision and will make adjustments to the pricing for Champions League matches to a level which we believe to be fair. Ticket sales will be temporarily suspended and reopened in due course with a revised pricing approach.

To maintain an honest and transparent relationship we must admit if we make incorrect choices, but we must also feel your trust and your support for any decision as these decisions are always made in favour of Milan only and exclusively.
