The time has come for AC Milan Women's adventure in the WomensCup 2019, an international tournament which, apart from the Rossonere, Paris-Saint Germain, Zurich and Juventus will all be involved in. After their first pre-season friendly last Saturday against Lugano, the team departed for Switzerland from the Vismara Sports Centre this morning. At 17:30 CEST in the afternoon, the Rossonere immediately took to the pitch at the Raiffeisen Arena in Hägendorf, where the scheduled matches will be played, for their first training session ahead of tomorrow's clash against PSG.
Shorly before the session, there was time for a small two on two basketball match: Giacinti and Salvatori Rinaldi went up against Zigic and goalkeeper coach Berretta. Once training began, the girls kicked things off by getting their muscles going and doing fitness work, with rondos finishing off the first part. In the second part of the session, the Rossonere did tactical work with a focus on attacking movement. A practice match with set-piece drills then followed.
Tomorrow, on Friday 16 August, Maurizio Ganz's side will face PSG at 17:30 CEST. On Saturday, the team will train at the Raiffeisen Arena at 17:00 CEST ahead of their match on Sunday – their final game of the competition.
