THE ROSSONERE MAINTAIN PERFECT RECORD

A goal in each half and AC Milan Women picked up their fourth successive league win. It wasn't always plain sailing, but the Rossonere eventually ran out 2-0 winners against Tavagnacco at the Stadio Brianteo to remain on maximum points. An own goal from Kunisawa and Marta Carissimi’s late header secured a victory which was a fair reflection of the match: AC Milan controlled matters and came close to doubling their lead on a number of occasions before they sealed it in added time. Coach Ganz's girls, who will next take to the pitch on 2 November when they play Fiorentina away from home, thus kept up their perfect record at the start of the season.

MATCH REPORT
After the match kicked off, the Rossonere were very much in control but were struggling to fashion any clear-cut chances. However, in the 20th minute AC Milan did come desperately close as Bergamaschi hit the post with her right foot. Shortly after, Salvatori Rinaldi was denied with the goalkeeper beaten. On the half-hour mark, Giacinti tried a lob but sent the ball over the bar. The Rossonere finally took the lead with 36 minutes on the clock: Giacinti entered the box after a great piece of play by Tucceri and saw her ball into the middle come off Kunisawa and end up in the net. In the 40th minute, Tavagnacco were reduced to ten players following Veritti's sending off. In the second half, the Rossonere looked to strike the decisive blow: Bergamaschi and Andrade had great chances in the closing stages before Carissimi headed home Tucceri's assist in the 93rd minute to finally put the game to bed.
