A last-gasp equaliser to hold the league leaders and preserve unbeaten status for the season. Most of all, it prevented AC Milan from falling to what would have been an undeserved defeat. At the Brianteo in Monza, the Rossonere came back at the end of what was a hard-fought and lively match. Francesco Vitale’s brilliant header made it 2-2 as the top two sides in Serie A Femminile held one another to a stalemate. Maurizio Ganz’s side twice came from behind, believing until the very end. First Čonč equalised after Fusetti’s own goal before Vitale netted after Staskova had made it 1-2 ten minutes from the end. In front of 4,000 spectators in Monza, the Rossonere once again showed that they are a team and one that wants to stick together and keep going in this competitive season. In the table, Milan now have 14 points and remain two behind Juventus and the side is now preparing to take on Sassuolo next Saturday at 12:00 CET.

MATCH REPORT
The Rossonere started strongly and there were two big chances for Valentina Giacinti. 15 minutes in, Heroum sent the captain through against Giuliani and she hit it powerfuly but a great save from the Juventus goalkeeper denied Milan the lead. A minute later, Giacinti hit the bar with her left foot. Juventus responded through efforts from Gama and Aluko before coming up with a fortunate opener. From a Cernoia cross, Laura Fusetti struggled to deal with the heavy pitch and turned the ball behind her teammate Korenciova in goal. The condition of the pitch didn’t allow for especially subtle passages of play and the Rossonere’s first response to going behind was a Bergamaschi free kick from 30 minutes out that Giuliani saved before getting on the rebound. After five minutes of first-half stoppage time, Milan drew level. From a Hovland free kick, Dominika Čonč got to the rebound first and made it 1-1 with her left. After a balanced first half, Juventus regained the lead. Staskova was deemed to be onside and she fired past Korenciova with her right. The Rossonere responded immediately with Bergamaschi seeing her shot turned behind for a corner. In the final minute, Milan came up with the vital goal. Tucceri Cimini took the free kick which Francesca Vitale nodded home to make it 2-2.
