Having beaten Sassuolo 1-0 at Vismara, Coach Ganz’s team are preparing themselves to get back on the pitch for matchday eight of the Women’s Serie A. AC Milan, who are just two points behind first place, travel to play Florentia, who are currently in sixth having drawn 0-0 with Empoli in their last game. Ahead of kick-off at 14:30 CET on Saturday 30 November, let’s take a look at four facts for this match:
- When AC Milan played Florentia in the 2018/19 Women’s Serie A season, they got an away draw and a home win.
- The Rossonere are unbeaten so far in the league this season (5W, 2D). If the end of last season is taken into account, only Juventus have a longer unbeaten runs among teams currently in the division (9).
- In their encounters last season Valentina Bergamaschi was the only Rossonere player to score, which she did in the 1-1 draw in November 2018, while the 1-0 win in March 2019 came courtesy of an own goal from Michela Rodella.
- Deborah Salvatori Rinaldi played for Florentia last season and scored 11 goals in 21 appearances; five more than any of her teammates in the same period.
