It's a second consecutive victory for the Rossonere and an away win that guarantees qualification to the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia Femminile. After beating Cesena 2-0, AC Milan did even better today, beating Orobica by four goals to nil. The Diavolo are now top of Group F, ahead of the Bergamo outfit. There were two goals in either half, including a brilliant brace from Valentina Giacinti, Lugli's own goal and a finish from Tucceri Cimini. Maurizio Ganz made many changes but the team's level of performance didn't drop - of particular note were the displays from new signings Vero and Simic. We are now going into an international break, before Serie A football returns with a game against Fiorentina on Saturday 5 December.

    MATCH REPORT

It didn't take long for AC Milan to get on the front foot. Giacinti's effort went wide (2') and Grimshaw squandered a brilliant chance (6'). The Rossonere took the lead in the eleventh minute from the penalty spot (after a handball). Giacinti stepped up to take and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way. Being a goal to the good gave our girls even more confidence, made them even more dangerous - but unable to double their lead - through Valentina, Vero and Simic. In the 37th minute, Dowie's effort went wide from a good position. AC Milan got that all-important second goal on the stroke of half-time. Tucceri Cimini took the corner and Lugli turned it into her own net.

The second half began and Babb was immediately called into action as she denied Poeta from just a few yards out. AC Milan went 3-0 up in the 54th minute. Giacinti's effort curled into the top corner. The Diavolo made many changes and began to ease off the gas, preferring to control the game but also affording Orobica some chances. In the 75th minute, Galli hit the crossbar for the home side. On the verge of full-time, the Rossoneri made it four through Tucceri Cimini. Full-time.
