SPECTACULAR 3-3 DRAW AGAINST THE BIANCONERE

AC Milan come from behind, electrifying second half at the PUMA House of Football

It ends 3-3 between AC Milan and Juventus in a dramatic draw at the PUMA House of Football. On matchday 6 of the Championship Round in Women's Serie A, the Rossonere and Bianconere played out an action-packed game that finished level. Following a poor start, conceding after just 11 seconds, the Rossonere looked down and out, conceding a second as the first 45 minutes wound to a close. But this group never gives up and Piemonte and Vigliucci dragged the hosts level after the break, before Nyström and Dompig traded goals late on.

Martina Piemonte today scored her twelfth league goal of the season, her personal best in the top flight. Chanté Dompig, on her second consecutive start, scored her first of the season, while Vilery Vigliucci scored for a fourth consecutive game. It was a big point in the table; with four matches left, Juventus have wrapped up second place, while the Rossonere are in third on 39 points. AC Milan's next game is away at Fiorrentina on Sunday 7 May, forza ragazze!

MATCH REPORT
A shock start for the Rossonere: with just seconds on the clock, the AC Milan defence were caught out by Cantore's cross. Nyström got on the end of it and headed home. The hosts' first chance of the game fell in the 13th minute when Grimshaw dribbled free from two opponents and played in Piemonte, whose delicate effort sailed just over the crossbar. The game was tense and cagey, and the Bianconere tried to surprise Giuliani from range, while AC Milan looked to get in behind. Juventus extended their lead at the end of the half, Lenzini turning home from Caruso's cross (44'). 2-0 at the break.

Our girls started strongly in the second half with two chances for Piemonte to test Peyraud-Magnin. The Rossonere then got themselves in the space of two minutes. Piemonte, assisted by Thomas, pulled one back in the 51st minute with a precise shot into the corner, before Vigliucci made it 2-2, heading home from Bergamaschi's ball in. Two more goals went in in the 64th and 66th minute but for both sides this time. First, Nyström restored Juventus' lead before Dompig got onto Nouwen's lofted ball and headed it into the back of the net. Juventus came close late on but Caruso, who had beaten Giuliani, was closed down by Soffia. Bonansea then saw her effort blocked. It ended 3-3.
