Every Saturday this November will bring about a game for the Rossonere. It starts with one of the most highly anticipated, Fiorentina v AC Milan. Three important points will be up for grabs, to improve the position in the table and consolidate the competition for the top spots. Discover the Match Preview ahead of the game at Viola Park.

LATEST FROM THE PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL
A bitter-sweet October ended in the best way possible for the Rossonere, with the win over Pomigliano that upped morale and the points tally. In the last 4 league games, Ganz's squad has shown an improvement in defence with only 2 goals conceded and the game against Fiorentina will be another important test. The last two weeks before the league game were defined by the numerous absences for the international break; with the Rossonere back home, the Coach has ample choice for the team.

This is the squad list for Fiorentina v AC Milan: Babb, Copetti, Giuliani; Árnadóttir, Bergamaschi, Fusetti, Guagni, Piga, Soffia, Swaby, Thrige; Adami, Cernoia, Dubcová, Grimshaw, Mascarello, Vigilucci; Asllani, Dompig, Jonušaitė, Laurent, Marinelli, Stašková.

Ganz spoke on the eve of the game: "We try to always do better, counting on the quality in the group that is so important. Improvements must be constant, in every training session and match. It is always a battle against Fiorentina, we will try to be prepared. We take it game by game, it is useless to look at the calendar or table. We want to take advantage of every chance possible".

    LATEST FROM FIORENTINA
The Viola have had a positive start to the season, winning 10 points in the first 5 games and only suffering one defeat against Juventus. The game against the Bianconere was the first in the new Viola Park which will now host the Rossonere, an important game for both sides. Fiorentina won't be able to count on Georgieva in defence due to suspension, the former Rossonera Agard is one of the names suggested to replace her next to Tortelli. The Viola line-up has alternated between a 4-3-3 and a 4-2-3-1 so far this season. The latter was used against Juve with the Mijatović-Vero-Longo trio backing up Lundin in attack, who has returned to Florence after a year in Rosengård and is still looking for her first league goal this season.

"It's an important game for us, many girls came back late on from international duty" - le parole alla vigilia di Coach De La Fuente said on the eve of the game. "Also AC Milan will be hungry for the points and will want to get back to winning ways. They are always a side to be wary of for their individuals and because they have been together for many years now. We'll be counting on our fans' support to drive us forward. It's these types of game where you understand what level you're at."

    PRE-MATCH
The Rossonere have met Fiorentina 11 times in Serie A and the record counts 5 AC Milan wins, 3 for Fiorentina and 3 draws. AC Milan has an even better record considering the games played in Tuscany, they are unbeaten in the last 5 away games to the Viola. The rivalry is full of goals with 19 being scored in the 4 games in 2022/23 and sees the two top-scoring sides from dead-ball situations face each other: 5 for the Rossonere and 4 for the Viola so far this season. Fiorentina and AC Milan also boast the best percentage of successful tackles (both in the top 3 of all sides in the top 5 European leagues) and arrive at matchday 6 with a huge number of ex-players: 5 each.
