Using the cup victory over Sassuolo as a springboard to return to winning ways in the league and keep their chances of qualifying for the "Poule Scudetto" (championship round) alive: this is what the Rossonere are aiming to do as they return to women's Serie A action at home to Como Women, a crucial six-pointer that will kick off at 18:00 CET this evening. Here is our Match Preview, providing you with everything you need to know ahead of the clash.

LATEST FROM THE PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL
Corti's side, who won in the Coppa Italia last time out, are set to play their third match in nine days. The 3-0 success against Sassuolo came after some good performances - particularly against Roma and Juventus - that deserved to be rewarded with more points. AC Milan don't have any players suspended or on the verge of suspension, but assessments will need to be made on the back of Thursday's game. The Rossonere have been boosted by the return of Mesjasz, who will provide an added option at the back. "Our last few performances have been positive and so was the result against Sassuolo," said the Coach on the eve of the game. "It'll be a vital game for us as we look to move towards the Poule Scudetto positions."

The Rossonere's matchday squad: Copetti, Giuliani, Lorenzi; Árnadóttir, Fusetti, Guagni, Mesjasz, Piga, Soffia, Swaby; Dubcová, Cesarini, Grimshaw, Mascarello, Rubio Ávila, Vigilucci; Arrigoni, Asllani, Dompig, Laurent, Marinelli, Stašková.

    LATEST FROM COMO WOMEN
Como initially enjoyed a fantastic start to the season but have been struggling for form recently. Indeed, they've only picked up two points from their last six matches, failing to score in five of them. The Lariane, who haven't found the net or recorded a victory on the road since beating Sassuolo 2-1 on 21 October, will arrive at the PUMA House of Football with the objective of consolidating their position in the race to finish in the Poule Scudetto. In their recent outings, Como have lined up in a traditional 4-4-2 formation. In general, the pillars of the team are Korenčiová between the sticks, Cox and Rizzon as the centre-back pairing, the Swede Karlernäs in midfield and the Slovak Škorvánková (Como’s highest goalscorer with three) up front.

    PRE-MATCH STATS
The two teams are set to meet for the fourth time in the women's Serie A division: the previous three encounters ended in an AC Milan win (4-0 away from home in February 2023) and two draws. The match pits together two of the most prolific sides in the opening 15 minutes of play (three goals each) and also the two teams who, percentage wise, concede the least amount of their goals in the first half (less than 30%). AC Milan v Como Women will also involve the two goalkeepers with the highest save percentages in the women's Serie A division: Laura Giuliani (76%) and Mária Korenčiová (75%). Meanwhile, Laura Fusetti's last league goal arrived against Como when the two teams met on 20 November 2022.

WHERE TO WATCH AC MILAN ON TV
In Italy, AC Milan v Como Women will be shown live on DAZN and Rai Sport from 18:00 CET. Don't miss coverage on acmilan.com, the Rossonere's official social media channels and on the AC Milan Official App where, the day after, the full game will be available on demand.

    LATEST FROM WOMEN'S SERIE A
Davide Gandino will referee AC Milan v Como Women and have Tempestilli and Andriambelo as his assistants, while Arnese will be the fourth official.

AC Milan v Como Women will be the final fixture on matchday 13 in women's Serie A. At the weekend, there were two games on Saturday 20 January (Sampdoria 0-0 Napoli and Inter 2-0 Roma) and another two on Sunday 21 January (Fiorentina 3-1 Pomigliano and Sassuolo 0-1 Juventus).

This is the current league table: Roma 36; Juventus 33; Fiorentina 31; Inter 20; Sampdoria and Como Women* 15; Sassuolo 14; AC Milan* 10; Pomigliano 5; Napoli 3. (* = one game in hand)
