A derby is always a derby, regardless of the table, form book and previous results: 90 minutes to face head on with pride and courage to achieve maxiumum satisfaction. The AC Milan Women's regular season ends at home, at the PUMA House of Football, against Inter. It is the last match before a break, which will end with the Coppa Italia semi-final against Roma and then the Relegation Round. But time to think about the future will come further down the line. For now, this will be the twelfth derby in Women's Serie A history between the two teams; here is our Match Preview.

LATEST FROM PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL
Avenge the narrow defeat in the reverse fixture and build on the great comeback success midweek away at Sampdoria: for the Rossonere, the derby will divide two moments of the season and will have no bearing on season outcomes. It is a game to look for maxiumum spoils, starting from the good things seen against the Doriane to prepare for the final stage of the season in the best possible way: in particular, Chanté Dompig's first Rossonere double and Silvia Rubio Ávila's first goal for the Club. Only Laurent is missing due to suspension, with captain Bergamaschi and Piga, both recently called up to the national team together with Laura Giuliani, one booking away from a ban.

The Rossonere squad: Babb, Copetti, Giuliani; Bergamaschi, Fusetti, Guagni, Mesjasz, Piga; Cernoia, Dubcová, Grimshaw, Mascarello, Rubio Ávila, Soffia, Vigilucci; Arrigoni, Asllani, Dompig, Ijeh, Marinelli, Stašková.

    LATEST FROM INTER
Fourth on 26 points, the Nerazzurre's form is rather inconsistent: on the one hand, they are the only team to have beaten current title-holders Roma, and have had good away successes against Napoli (3-2) and Pomigliano (6-2); on the other hand, home defeats in 2024 against Sassuolo, Como Women and midweek with Juventus. Guarino's girls are looking for points to keep their pursuit of a difficult Champions League place (13 points behind 3rd place) and have particularly relied on new signing Lina Magull recently. The German midfielder, former Bayern Munich player, has already scored five goals since arriving in Italy and is second only to Cambiaghi among the Nerazzurre scorers, who provided the match-winning goal in this season's first encounter at the Arena Civica. The only player who is one booking away from a suspension is Karchouni.

    PRE-MATCH STATS

    • There has never been a draw between the two sides in the eleven meetings in the Women's Serie A: AC Milan lead with seven wins, with Inter on four and are the side that the Rossonere have won the most number of league games in their history.
    • Corti's team are unbeaten in their last six Serie A home games: it is the longest streak since the one collected in AC Milan Women's first-ever season (ten in 2018/19).
    • AC Milan (95%) and Inter (96%) are two of three sides with the highest percentage of goals from inside the box in this campaign. Only Pomigliano, with 11/11, have a better record than the Rossonere and Nerazzurre.
    • Facing each other are the two youngest foreign players with at least ten goals scored in the last four Women's Serie A seasons: the Rossonere's Dompig, born in 2001 (15 goals) and the Nerazzurri's Bugeja, born in 2004 (17 goals). Also worth mentioning is the stat linked to Andrea Stašková, the youngest player to have reached double figures in both goals (18) and assists (11) in the Italian league since 2020/21.

WHERE TO WATCH AC MILAN ON TV
In Italy, AC Milan v Inter will be broadcast live on DAZN and RaiSport at 17:00 CET. Don't miss coverage on acmilan.com, the Rossonere's official Instagram account and on the AC Milan Official App where, the day after, the full game will be available.

LATEST FROM THE WOMEN'S SERIE A
Matteo Centi will referee the derby at the PUMA House of Football. Completing the officials team will be assistants, Cesarano and Chichi, with Barbetti as fourth official.

Matchday 18 in the Women's Serie A, the last round of fixtures in the regular season, kicked off on Saturday 17 February with Sassuolo 2-0 Sampdoria and Fiorentina 0-1 Roma. AC Milan v Inter will close out the games scheduled on Sunday 18, at 17:00 CET, which also sees Juventus v Napoli at 12:30 CET and Pomigliano v Como Women at 15:00 CET take place.
