AC Milan is gearing up to face Lazio in the Matchday 13 of the Women's Serie A. The match is scheduled for 14 December 2024 at 12:30 CET in Rome, at the Stadio Mirko Fersini. Under the guidance of coach Bakker, the Rossonere are set to take on Lazio, led by Gianluca Grassadonia. As the league progresses, every point becomes vital for the Rossonere's ambitions. We approach kick-off with our Match Preview.

LATEST FROM PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL
AC Milan comes into this match following a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Inter. The Rossonere have experienced a mix of results in the league, with their last Serie A victory against Sassuolo. However, the recent performance at San Siro against Inter has provided a positive boost. Coach Bakker and his team are determined to get back to winning ways in the league and to close the year with a good result, aware of the challenges but also the opportunities ahead.

Coach Bakker had the following to say before the away game: "In our last match of 2024, we want to follow up on the good performance of last week in the derby at San Siro. The goal is to go into the winter break with a good feeling".

    LATEST FROM LAZIO
Lazio, coming off a narrow 3-2 defeat to Juventus, is looking to regain their best form. Grassadonia's team has shown signs of improvement despite recent challenges in Serie A. The draw against Sampdoria demonstrated their resilience, while the Coppa Italia victory over Como highlighted their attacking potential. Lazio is keen to capitalize on their home advantage to secure a positive result, after several good performances but few points earned.

    PRE-MATCH NUMBERS

    • AC Milan has won all three previous Serie A encounters against Lazio with a total score of 13-3. Among the teams currently in the top league, only against Inter (four), Roma (five), and Sampdoria (four) have the Rossonere achieved four wins in their first four meetings in the tournament.
    • Lazio and AC Milan are the two teams that press the most in the current Serie A: the Biancocelesti and the Rossonere are indeed the two teams with the lowest PPDA index (ratio of opponent's passes allowed outside their defensive third and the number of defensive actions outside the defensive third) in this league: respectively 8.4 and 9.4.
    • Two of the three defenders who have participated in the most shots in this Serie A wear the jerseys of Lazio and AC Milan: Elisabetta Oliviero (44 – 24 chances created and 20 shots) and Angelica Soffia (22 – 12+10); between them Lucia Di Guglielmo (23). The next will be the 50th appearance for the Rossonera with her current club in the top league.
