AC Milan faced Lazio in the 13th round of the Women's Serie A 2024/2025, suffering a 2-0 defeat. The match, held at the Stadio Mirko Fersini, saw the home team triumph thanks to a brace from Martina Piemonte, who scored in the 2nd and 52nd minutes, both times assisted by Zanoli. The Rossonere, coming off a mixed run of results, failed to turn the tide and remain at 15 points in the standings, while Lazio climb to 10 points. This defeat further complicates AC Milan's position in the race to the top.

The Rossonere tried to take control of the game, but Lazio were able to make the most of the opportunities they created. The girls showed determination, but struggled to convert their opportunities. Bakker's team tried to keep possession and create spaces, but the opposing defence proved solid. Despite the difficulties, the team continued to fight until the end, with the substitutes trying to give new life to the team. The Rossonere must now focus on improving performances to face upcoming challenges with greater confidence and determination. Forza Milan!

    MATCH REPORT
The match began at an intense pace, with Lazio taking the lead in the 2nd minute thanks to Piemonte, who capitalised on a Zanoli assist to beat Giuliani. AC Milan tried to react with the best opportunities coming from Ijeh in the 7th minute and Renzotti in the 31st minute, saved in both cases by Cetinja. The Rossonere continued to push, but the first half ended with Lazio leading 1-0. AC Milan created a few chances, but were unable to convert, with Nadim coming close to equalising in the 43rd minute with a shot that ended just wide, while Renzotti had an opportunity in injury time, only to be met by the opposing goalkeeper.

In the second half, it was Lazio who found the net again in the 52nd minute, with Piemonte scoring her second goal of the match, assisted by Zanoli. Coach Bakker tried to change the game up by inserting Marinelli and Mascarello in the 57th minute, but Lazio's defence held up well. In the 69th minute Nadim hit the crossbar with a free kick. AC Milan continued to look for the goal, but Lazio defended well and managed to maintain the advantage until the final whistle. Despite the defeat, the Rossonere showed character and determination, elements we can build on for the future.
