AC Milan Women's 2025/26 season has begun in the past few days. The Rossonere gathered on the morning of Monday 7 July at the PUMA House of Football for the routine pre-season tests, welcomed by Giorgio Furlani, AC Milan Chief Executive Officer, Elisabet Spina, the club's Head of Women Football and manager Suzanne Bakker, alongside her technical staff.

Giorgio Furlani's presence proves the Club's closeness to the women's team and the strategic importance of the project within AC Milan's vision that looks to enhance and develop every part of the Rossoneri universe, by strongly promoting women's football on a national and international scale. At the same time, Christy Grimshaw was awarded for becoming the third player in AC Milan women's history (and the first from abroad) to reach 100 official appearances, a target achieved on April 26.

Giorgio Furlani, Chief Executive Officer of AC Milan, awards Christy Grimshaw at Vismara PUMA House of Football on July 07, 2025 in Milan, Italy

The season will officially get underway at the end of August with the game against Sassuolo, our first contest of the new Women's Cup 2025/26, in which AC Milan will also face Roma and Ternana. To prepare for this match, the team will also play a few friendlies in Italy and abroad. The first test will see the Rossonere head to Dübendorf for a three-way contest against Nuremberg and Zurigo on Saturday 26 July.

Another important meeting will be on 2 August against Rangers (the game will be live on the AC Milan Official App) and also the fascinating contest in London on 30 August against Chelsea, winners of the Women's Super League for six years in a row. A few players were absent from the meeting (and still are) with commitments in the EUROs: the Azzurre Giuliani and Piga, the Finn Koivisto, the Pole Mesjasz and the Dane Nadim. However, amongst the group are new faces who have been brought in: the Dutch players Kay-Lee de Sanders and Milicia Keijzer as well as the Spaniard, Sandra Estévez Ogalla.
