Two defeats conceded in the final minutes and determination to turn things around: these are the key factors coming to light on the eve of AC Milan v Lazio, on matchday four of Serie A Women. After two strong performances that didn't bring the desired results, the Rossonere are back to action at the Velodromo Attilio Pavesi in Fiorenzuola d'Arda, aiming to bring back that winning feeling that they've been missing out on since their season debut victory over Genoa.

LATEST FROM THE PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL
Among the already long list of players who are unavailable is Angelica Soffia, who has been sidelined following a muscle problem during the international break in the Italy vs. Brazil match. Additionally, Babb, Grimshaw, Sorelli, Stokić, and Zanini will also not play in the match. The matches against Roma and Fiorentina were positive, but they didn't bring the team the points that they had worked for. However, mistakes are learning opportunities, and the team will use this match against Lazio as a fresh start, both to turn things around and to build on the already promising signs we have seen. The international break brought good vibes and plenty of confidence for Monica Renzotti, who, following her brace against Fiorentina, also scored for the Italy U-23 national team against Scotland.

Coach Bakker on the eve of the game: "Two late defeats hurt, but we stand tall, stronger, sharper, and ready to fight. Against a physical team like Lazio, we respond with heart, discipline, and unity".

    LATEST FROM LAZIO
Lazio, coached by Gianluca Grassadonia once again, has had a very positive start to the year, having qualified for the Final Four of the Women's Cup and winning two of the first three league matchdays, both by 2-1, against Como and Genoa. The Biancoceleste squad, featuring former Rossonere Martina Piemonte, Nikola Karczewska, and Małgorzata Mesjasz, suffered a close defeat to Juventus in their last Serie A match against Juventus, despite having plenty of chances to open the scoring. They are a strong team, backed by confidence, and difficult to take on.

    • AC Milan are one of only two teams, including Roma, to have scored the most goals in the final 30 minutes of matches this season: four for both teams.
    • Among the teams with 100% accuracy from inside the penalty area, AC Milan, as well as Fiorentina, are among the two that have scored the most (six each).
    • Evelyn Ijeh (currently on 16 goals) is just one goal away from becoming AC Milan's all-time Serie A top scorers alongside Daniela Sabatino and Martina Piemonte (both at 17). With only the former Rossonera Valentina Giacinti ahead of them (55).
    • Giorgia Arrigoni (49, born in 2004) is one away from making her 50th Serie A appearance. Since she debuted in the top flight in 2021/22, only three other players born on or after 1 January 2004 have made more appearances than her: Haley Bugeja (61), Chiara Beccari (67), and Manuela Sciabica (50).
