Goals from Ijeh and Dompig, saves from Giuliani: a recipe for success as the Rossonere beat Juventus 2-1 and sealed an incredible win. At the A. Pavesi Velodrome in Fiorenzuola d'Arda, AC Milan secured their second home victory in a row. Today's win is even more important than the crucial victory over Lazio as it comes against the reigning champions, one of the strongest sides in Serie A Women. The difference was secured by Ijeh, making her the second-highest goalscorer in league history with 18 goals, and Dompig, along with the team's clinical attack and strong defensive performance.

A focused, determined side that handled pressure and difficulties but demonstrated resilience and improvement. It was a performance full of character, courage, and skill, sparking energy and motivation. It was an enjoyable and joyful afternoon, which saw the return of 30-year-old captain Grimshaw, warmly greeted by her teammates. After matchday five of Serie A Women, AC Milan have climbed to third place with nine points. The next fixture will be on Saturday, 15th November at 18:00 CET as they face Como.

    MATCH REPORT
An aggressive start from the home side as the ninth minute saw a free kick from Godø drifting just wide. The Rossonere missed a few chances but kept organised, looking to counterattack. In the first opportunity at the 17th minute, Ijeh's strike lacked power, but in the second, just three minutes later, Evelyn scored with a tap-in from Renzotti's cross: a swift finish at the near post gave AC Milan the lead. Juventus pressed aggressively, but our goalkeeper was alert and ready: in the 31st minute, she pushed away an attempt from Schatzer, saved a shot from Beccari in the 32nd, four minutes later, she easily dealt with Schatzer's shaky left-footed attempt, then denied Rosucci in the 39th minute. Just six minutes later, Kyväg took a shot just when it seemed like the whistle for half-time would go off, but in the last moments of added time, Bonansea's play freed Girelli, who clinically slotted the ball into the net for the equaliser.

The second half got off to a similar start, with Juventus in possession and creating chances: Beccari looked dangerous in the 51st minute, Bonansea in the 53rd, and again in the 55th. But our goalkeeper was ready once again. In the 57th minute, Lenzini's header from a corner drifted off target. The Rossonere were under pressure but kept their calm and responded seven minutes later with the goal to give them the lead. Dompig found a loose ball after a scramble and fired an excellent right-footed strike into the top corner. Juventus pushed forward in the 70th minute, but Cascarino's volley was off target. In the 83rd, Girelli's deflected header spun off the crossbar, and two minutes later, Krumbiegel's strike shot past the post. However, AC Milan did not stay passive; Ijeh and Van Dooren had missed out on a huge opportunity. In added time, the 95th minute, Appiah forced a save from De Jong, and in the end, AC Milan celebrated a hard-fought victory.
