AC Milan’s Serie A Women calendar year ended in defeat, as Inter claimed the Derby on Matchday 9 at Solbiate Arno, winning 5–1. The Rossonere took the lead after 10 minutes through a fine Van Dooren strike, but the Nerazzurre turned the game around in the second half. Bakker's side were also affected by Mascarello’s injury midway through the first half.
The scoreline proved harsh at the Chinetti: despite grit and commitment, it was not enough to build on the recent win over Napoli and stay near the top of a tightly packed table, though the Rossonere will resume their climb up the standings in the new year, with all objectives intact. Before the break, however, there is a chance to bounce back in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 away to Genoa, on Sunday 21 December at 14:30 CET. Forza ragazze!

MATCH REPORT
Backed in the stands by CEO Giorgio Furlani, AC Milan started brightly and broke through after 9 minutes as Grimshaw’s low cross was finished by Van Dooren to make it 1–0. However, Inter responded 10 minutes later via Andrés from a corner. Despite Mascarello’s injury and Inter’s growing threat from set pieces, the Rossonere created several late first-half chances through Piga (31’) and Grimshaw (41’), narrowly missing finding the target.
Inter struck early after the restart, taking the lead in the 49th minute through Csiszár after a scramble in the box. AC Milan pushed to respond but were punished around the hour mark by a swift brace from substitute Bugeja. Despite efforts – most notably Ijeh forcing a save in the 78th minute and Van Dooren coming close in the 81st – the visitors sealed it in the 82nd as Bugeja completed her hat-trick to make it 5–1.
