In the first official game of 2026, on Saturday, 17 January at 12:30 CET, AC Milan's Women's First Team will face Parma on the road in matchday ten of the 2025/26 Serie A Women. Following their away victory against Genoa at the start of the campaign, AC Milan now gear up to take on the second newly promoted side in this league: let's take a look at our Match Preview.

LATEST FROM THE PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL
The Rossonere are hoping to start the new year on the front foot in their showdown against Parma after they had an ambivalent ending to 2025, which featured a defeat in the Derby but also a win and advancement in the Coppa Italia, once again against Genoa. December had begun with a win on the road against a side from the bottom half of the table, and the Rossonere are hoping to repeat that in January. With Babb and Sorelli still unavailable, Coack Bakker's team will rely on attacking strength, which has led AC Milan to be the third-best attack in the league at the moment, with 17 goals scored in nine games.

Coach Suzanne Bakker gave her thoughts on the eve of the match: "2026 starts for us with the match against Parma, and it's the moment to show that we are more consistent as a team. By conceding fewer goals, we lay the foundation for better performances".

    LATEST FROM PARMA
While AC Milan's strong attacking prowess, Parma, who are third from the bottom on seven points, have, along with Sassuolo, the best defensive record in the lower half of the table, having conceded just ten goals in nine games. December proved to be an especially difficult month for the Gialloblù, who didn't pick up any points from their three fixtures against Como Women and Lazio twice (in Serie A and the Coppa Italia), all ending in 1-0 defeats. Their only league victory so far was in matchday two against Sassuolo; the two previous encounters in the 2022/23 season also ended with a Rossonere victory, as the Gialloblù were beaten 6-0 on aggregate.

    PRE-MATCH NUMBERS

    • In 2023, AC Milan were the only team to beat Parma in their first match of the year in Serie A and Serie B. Since then, Parma have beaten Genoa in 2024 and drawn with Ternana in 2025.
    • Parma have been defeated in their last two Serie A games without scoring and have never been beaten three consecutive games in the top flight while failing to score.
    • On the one hand, Parma have scored the highest percentage of goals from set pieces in this Serie A campaign (75%); on the other hand, AC Milan are among the three teams with the fewest goals from set pieces (two, on par with Juventus and Lazio).

WHERE TO WATCH AC MILAN ON TV

    LATEST FROM SERIE A WOMEN
The match will be officiated by Gabriele Sacchi from the Macerata section, assisted by Luca Marucci and Rodolfo Spataro from Rossano. The OVS operator will be Leonardo Mallimaci from Reggio Calabria.

Parma v AC Milan kicks off matchday ten of Serie A Women at 12:30 CET on Saturday, 17 January, followed by Fiorentina vs. Genoa at 15:00 CET, and Napoli vs. Como Women at 18:00 CET. The next day will see Roma vs. Sassuolo as a lunchtime fixture, with Ternana Women vs. Lazio at 15:00 CET and the big game between Inter and Juventus at 15:30 CET to close out the matchday.

Here are the current standings: Roma 22; Juventus and Fiorentina 17; Inter, Lazio, and Como Women 15; AC Milan and Napoli Women 13; Sassuolo 9; Parma 7; Genoa 6; Ternana Women 4.
