THE VIAREGGIO CUP RETURNS: AC MILAN TO TAKE TWO TEAMS

With the last two tournaments cancelled as a result of the pandemic, the Viareggio Cup makes a return from 16 to 30 March.

AC Milan are of course one of the most well-renowned teams competing and will bring two teams to play at this year's tournament: the U18s, coached by Coach Terni and Coach Corti's women's Primavera, who has been involved in this competition as a Rossoneri player before.

This will be the first time the women's Primavera team has taken part in the tournament. In the previous editions of the competition, the U19 men's team participated, whereas the women's Primavera weren't involved. This competition will certainly help both groups to build on the work they are doing in the league.

This will certainly be an experience that will aid either sides' growth, as they will encounter challenges that have thus far eluded them.

Here are the groups:

MEN'S U18s

Group 2 - Group A: AC Milan, Westchester United (USA), Parma, Carrarese

The scheduled group games:

• AC Milan v Westchester United (Wednesday 16 March, 15:00 CET, Porcari (LU) at the Comunale stadium)
• AC Milan v Parma (Friday 18 March, 15:00 CET, Quarrata (PT) "Raciti" stadium)
• AC Milan v Carrarese, (Monday 21 March, 15:00 CET, Carrara (MS) at the "dei Marmi" stadium)

WOMEN'S PRIMAVERA

Group 1 - Group A: AC Milan, Brøndby (Denmark), APIA Leichhardt (Australia), Livorno

• AC Milan v Brøndby (Thursday 17 March, 15:00 CET, Castelnuovo Magra (SP) at the "Marchini" sports pitch)
• AC Milan v APIA Leichhardt (Saturday 19 March, 11:00 CET, Lido di Camaiore (LU) at the "Benelli" stadium)
• AC Milan v Livorno (Monday 21 March, 15:00 CET, Santa Croce sull'Arno (PI) at the "Masini" stadium)
