PRIMAVERA DEFEATED BY JUVENTUS IN VINOVO

The Bianconeri ran out 4-0 winners in the penultimate league game of the season

A heavy defeat, one that was deserved but not in such a manner. At Vinovo, Juventus v AC Milan ended 4-0 to the Bianconeri, who scored two goals in each half and put an end to Abate's Primavera's positive form, which had lasted six games (four wins and two draws). The Rossoneri never looked lively, in part due to the great heat, although at the beginning of the second half they had a few chances to get back into the game. The goal didn't come and, taking advantage of tiredness and the space they were afforded, Montero's Juventus struck twice in the final minutes on the counter-attack.

Among the goals for the Bianconeri were Mulazzi, Savona with a brace and Turco to finish things off. As already mentioned, the scoreline was favourable to the hosts, despite the fact that in the final minutes Juventus missed chances to score even more. The next and final fixture of the season is scheduled for Saturday at 13:00 CEST at the PUMA House of Football against Sassuolo.

MATCH REPORT
Juventus scored with the first chance of the match after a cagey first quarter of an hour: in the 16th minute Nonge found Mulazzi, who controlled and finished with his left foot. The Rossoneri reacted with headers from Gala, on Coubis' cross, and El Hilali from 25 yards out at the end of the first half: no clear cut chances. In the 42nd minute Juventus came forward again and doubled the lead through Savona, who finsihed off a wonderful team move. Cuenca forced Daffara into a save in the 44th minute, before the referee blew his whistle for the break.

The second half began with some pressure Abate's side, who forced Daffara into several decisive saves: the first on Gala's attempt from outside the box, the second on Diego Sia's close-range shot. In the 61st minute, Zeroli had AC Milan’s best chance, but from close range his effort went agonisingly past the post. In the 65th minute Zeroli found Youns who saw the Juventus keeper make yet another good save. In the 77th minute Juve were back on the front foot and struck again, again through Savona, who easily tapped in for the third. The fourth goal arrived shortly after and was scored by Turco, again from close range, to seal a resounding win.

POST-MATCH COMMENTS
"It's a difficult match to analyse: we played 65 good minutes, in which the team was structured," commented Coach Abate. "In a balanced first half we went behind because of two careless moments; the second half started well, we had 15-20 minutes in which we created several chances and the regret is that we take one to get back in the game. Then we broke down trying to come back and they got the other two goals. We wanted to finish well, we just didn't have the clinical edge to do it."
