PRIMAVERA DEFEATED AWAY IN LECCE

After three consecutive victories, Mister Guidi's Primavera team came to a halt away from home, defeated 2-0 on the Lecce pitch on matchday 12. The match was decided in favour of the hosts by goals from Bertolucci and Esposito. The Rossoneri's performance was underwhelming, surprised in the first half by the hosts' terrible double - ahead by two goals in the space of three minutes - and too inaccurate to find an effective reaction in the second half.
There was a lot of pressure and few chances in the Salento. AC Milan struggled to find rhythm and intensity, due the pressure of a motivated Lecce side that was more active in almost all areas of the pitch. The position in the standings remains excellent - 22 points - and the chance to restart is just around the corner and very important. A dynamic start, but it is Lecce who are more enterprising. AC Milan struggled to find solutions, the hosts increased their pressing and between the 18th and 21st minutes they took a double advantage. Gorter recovered the ball and set the ball in for Bertolucci, who crossed with his right, Mastrantonio deflected but was unable to avoid the 1-0 lead, and three minutes later Esposito sealed the encore with a precise header on Delle Monache's delivery. The one-two stunned the Rossoneri, who tried to respond with a free kick - deflected - from Liberali in the 24th minute. AC Milan raised their game, Lecce slowed down but allowed few spaces to attack and remained ahead by two goals at the break.

The Rossoneri insisted and brought plenty of men to Sakho's side, but were unable to ignite the final minutes. In the added time Bakoune attempted from distance but failed to hit the target. It ended 2-0.
