THE WEEKEND'S SCHEDULE: U15, THE FINAL ACT

    Youth TeamsJune 19th 2026

After their opening victory against Lecce, Milan Primavera suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Sassuolo, one of the strongest teams in the league. The game ended 2-1 to the Neroverdi, after a first half dominated by two goals from Kulla. The Rossoneri were left playing catch-up, despite a promising start: late in the game, Lontani scored a penalty (as Macchioni received a red card), and Domnitei came close to equalising, but was denied by visiting goalkeeper Nyarko.

The semi-finalists in 2024/25 and Italian champions in 2023/24, Sassuolo made the most of a first half in which they proved superior to our boys, while in the second half, the Rossoneri's reaction perhaps came a little too late, but still produced excellent chances to gain an equaliser. There remains a touch of bitterness, but also appreciation for the final push, to which substitutes Di Siena and Borsani contributed well, and immediately got into the rhythm of the Rossoneri's final assault. The team returns to action on Sunday at 16:30 CEST against Genoa, once again at home.

    MATCH REPORT
A good start from the Rossoneri, who were lively in possession and very proactive in the build-up. Sassuolo waited for their chance and looked to strike immediately, coming close in the fifth minute with Negri, who hit the post. Milan responded with another well-worked move, resulting in a right-footed effort from Scotti that posed little threat. In the 15th minute, the visitors took the lead thanks to Kulla, who made the most of a defensive lapse and beat Longoni with a right-footed strike that caught the Rossoneri keeper off guard. Sassuolo grew in confidence, but Milan responded immediately with Scotti and Castiello, who failed to convert two clear chances inside the box. Late in the half, Kulla doubled the lead with a strong header from Campani's cross, giving Longoni no time to respond.

In the second half, Milan tried to orchestrate a comeback, often relying on their two wingers, Scotti to one side and Lontani on the other. However, Sassuolo managed to contain our attacking moves, prompting Renna to look for fresh energy from the bench. The 2008-born Cissé came on, followed by Di Siena, Borsani, and Domnitei. The team pushed higher up the pitch, and Sassuolo began to struggle more. The key breakthrough came in the 90th minute, when Ossola broke free from Macchioni and was brought down in the penalty area: the referee pointed to the spot and showed the visiting defender a red card. From the spot, Lontani sent Nyarko in the wrong direction, and in the five minutes of added time, we created a key chance for a 2-2 draw. Di Siena crossed from the right, Domnitei controlled on the far side and shot, but Nyarko's sharp save kept Sassuolo in the lead. That's how it ended, 2-1.
