Milan Primavera beat Lecce 2-0 to get back to winning ways following the break. The win was needed, important and deserved. The Rossoneri took control with a good performance, which could also be described as focused, determined and sold. The goals came from Domniței in the 25th minute, and then Plazzotta in the 73rd minute. Domniței proved his red-hot form, as he bagged his third consecutive goal. Plazzotta proved brilliant, as did Ossola, Mancioppi and Borsani, who all contributed with some decisive pieces of play. However, the team as a whole showed their desire, technical ability and grit.

It hadn't been an easy period for Renna's side; two draws against Juventus and Bologna followed a series of losses. The team needed a win for a while and this one was worth its weight in gold. Primavera 1 matchday 32 brings the Diavolo onto 42 points in the table, temporarily in 12th position just four points off of the play-off zone. The hard work is paying off, proving to be the best way to spend a calm Easter period. Next Monday, 13 April at 17:00 CEST, Milan Primavera will take on Atalanta at home.

    MATCH REPORT
The match got off to a lively start with Lecce playing in an aggressive and attacking way. AC Milan began by creating some good chances too: in the 14th minute, Pandolfi's free-kick was blocked by Penev, while Domniței tried to surprise the goalkeeper from distance. We broke the deadlock in the 25th minute with patience and class: Ossola played through a perfectly-weighted through ball to Domniței who did well to control and finish it with a delicate chip. Borsani tried his luck in the 33rd minute but was denied by Penev. The opposition tried to fight back: Esteban's header in the 37th minute was not precise enough, while Bouyer was put under pressure in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, Domniței tried an acrobatic effort but the goalkeeper did well to deny him. In the 43rd minute, Pehlivanov struck from distance, with Bouyer flying to palm it away; from the corner that followed, Kovač headed over.

The second half was also played in an open manner: the Rossoneri got off to a better start with Angelicchio bursting into the box in the 47th minute, before being denied. After Di Pasquale’s low shot was comfortably save by Bouyer, a big chance went begging in the 59th minute: Ossola hesitated at the crucial moment; the move continued and Mancioppi unleashed a left-footed strike, but Penev pulled off a miracle save to deny him. In the 65th minute, Ossola’s curling effort brushed the outside of the post. After surviving a scare from Esteban’s header, AC Milan doubled their lead in the 73rd minute: Ossola set up Plazzotta, whose first attempt was saved by Penev, but he reacted quickly to the rebound and slotted home for 2–0. The final minutes were tense, with Scotti the most dangerous: in the 81st minute he fired just wide, and in the 90th he failed to convert from close range.
