"6 PER SEMPRE": THE TRIBUTE TO FRANCO BARESI ON THE AC MILAN JERSEY

"6 per sempre" encapsulates all of the love and affection from the Rossoneri world for Franco Baresi, just as that iconic number will forever be synonymous with his captaincy, loyalty and legendary status in AC Milan's history. It is a phrase that embodies an unbreakable bond of memory, belonging and devotion, taking shape in a special commemorative patch that will be worn throughout the 2026/27 season by the Men's and Women's First Teams, Milan Futuro and the Primavera sides.
The tribute comes directly from the hearts of the Rossoneri faithful. Every character used to create the words "6 per sempre" was selected from the thousands of handwritten messages left in the commemorative book displayed at Casa Milan in the days following Baresi's passing. The patch will be placed on the left sleeve of the jersey, the very arm on which Franco wore the captain's armband for more than 700 matches between 1982 and 1997.
The patch will make its debut on Saturday 22 August, when AC Milan face Como Women in the Serie A Women's Cup at the PUMA House of Football. The Men's First Team will wear it for the first time in their away match against Torino on Sunday 23 August. Supporters purchasing an official 2026/27 jersey will be able to have the patch applied free of charge at all AC Milan Stores.
"6 per sempre" will thus become a defining feature of the jersey and a lasting tribute to Franco Baresi, honouring the eternal bond between the Captain, AC Milan and its supporters.
