Santo remembers and tells us about the 3-2 in 1998: "one of the best days of my life"
I was 11 at the time, and my father decided it was time to make the trip to Milan, by train, from Catania all the way down in Sicily. I could never forget that match, Roma had taken an early lead, but Leonardo had equalized just before the break. The teams returned to the field and Sebastiano Rossi saved a penalty from a certain Francesco Totti, I was thrilled as if I'd made the save myself.
That danger passed, Ziege put us ahead but they managed to equalize: 2-2. They kept on attacking and coming close to scoring, in complete control. But then, Zorro Boban stepped up to a set-piece and found George Weah in the box. The stands erupted in delight, we were ahead again.
That was one of the best days of my life. Forza Milan, forever and ever.
From Santo D’Olica
Forza Milan, anyway and everywhere. This is the best sentence written by Santo. That match AC Milan v AS Roma was spectacular, an open match, exciting until the end. The Rossoneri, at the San Siro, won 3-2 driving crazy the supporters. One of these supporters was Santo, a little boy full of joy, arrived from Catania. A joy that he remembered and shared with us with pleasure.
