The midfielder interviewed by Milan TV: "I still have a lot to prove. Our goal is to win"
One of the key players of the Rossoneri's season so far is Franck Kessie. The Ivory Coast international arrived last summer from Atalanta and immediately had a pivotal role in AC Milan's midfield, both with Vincenzo Montella and now with Gennaro Gattuso. And the special bond with the current coach is one of the topics of Franck's interview with Milan TV with the no.79 touching on the upcoming clash at Udinese, his personal goals and those of the club.
ON THE 2,757 MINUTES PLAYED
"I'm a bit tired, I think it's normal, but I still can and want to do more for the team. I missed only two matches this season - against Skendija and Rijeka - and I managed to take a breather but I always want to play.
ON THE GOALS SCORED
"I was happy with the two goals in Cagliari as it had been a while since I last scored (against Spal on 20th September 2017) and these goals came at the right time. I have to continue like this because I want to score 10 goals this season. It seems a lot but if I work hard I can make it.
ON HIS FORM
"I had a positive start to the season but then I had a bit of a downer because I played a lot but I'm now on the up again.
ON THE FIXTURES AHEAD
"We have to focus only on Udinese who are a good team and only two points behind us in Serie A. We have to take home the three points to widen the gap with them.
SERIE A AND EUROPA LEAGUE
"Which competition is more important to focus on? Both. We are playing on all fronts and still in the running in Coppa Italia too. Our goal is to win.
"The boss has helped me a lot and has me working more in training. He motivates me before the match and you can see the results on the pitch. Something that makes him angry? If you are walking on the pitch. Gattuso won almost everything as a player, I am still young, I have a lot to prove and haven't won anything yet. He was much stronger than I am and I want to reach his level".
