AC MILAN TO LAUNCH THE NEW ACADEMY IN LAAYOUNE

Our Academy continues its growth and has now arrived in Morocco

Passion for football and for AC Milan has now reached the sand dunes of the Sahara desert. Milan Academy's growth continues to expand and the club has now launched a new soccer school in the city of Laayoune, in Morocco. This is our first Milan Academy agreement settled with a municipality which will last for three years.

The project was strongly welcomed by the town mayor Hamdi Ould Errachid, who has set as primary goals encouraging the practice of sports and of specifically of football. The idea of having these kids growing up following the Rossoneri's method was what made it possible for this partnership to kick-off. The youngsters of Laayoune and of the surrounding cities will have the opportunity to train with experienced coaches following the same guidelines used at Vismara Sports Centre, the hub of AC Milan's Youth Sector. The direct link between the training centre in Milan and the other centres abroad is the pillar of this project. Every Red and Black Academy throughout the world is an extension of the Club's Youth Sector.

This new partnership is a great achievement for the sporting politics of the city of Laayoune and offers an educational opportunity to all the youngsters of the city which can enjoy free access to all the facilities and train with an official Red and Black coach, Fabio Vicardi. The activity will take place on fifty training grounds in the Avenue Al Hizam – Hay Al Matar Sports Centre placed in the heart of the city and made up of an indoor sports building and a gym. The mayor's ambition is to make this Academy a benchmark for all soccer schools in Morocco.
