AC MILAN 1994/95 ROSTER

SERIE A AND ITALIAN SUPER CUP

Following three consecutive Scudetti, the Rossoneri began 1994/95 by winning the Supercoppa Italiana against Sampdoria. That summer saw the return of Gullit from Samp after just a season away from the Club. There was, however, to be no repeat of the glorious 1993/94 campaign. The team started poorly with three wins from their first eight Serie A outings. While their domestic performances faltered, finishing fourth in the end behind Juventus, Lazio and Parma, the Rossoneri shone in Europe again.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, EUROPEAN SUPER CUP AND INTERCONTINENTAL CUP

Argentinian side Vélez Sarsfield sprung a surprise against the Rossoneri in the Intercontinental Cup final in Tokyo, but there was success in the European Super Cup as AC Milan beat Arsenal over two legs. The Rossoneri had another good Champions League run, despite kicking things off on neutral ground in Trieste, with San Siro unable to be used for two rounds. We beat Benfica in the quarter-final and Paris Saint-Germain in the semis to get to the final in Vienna (our third in a row). We faced former Milanista Rijkaard's Ajax, who had two future Rossoneri in Seedorf and Kluivert, but the Dutch side won, Kluivert with the winner.
