Ante Rebić was born in Spalato, Croatia on 21 September 1993. He played for both Vinjani and Imotski as a youth player, but made his professional debut with RNK Spalato in 2011. In 2013 he signed for Fiorentina but after just one season in viola, was loaned to RB Leipzig for the 2014/15 season and Hellas Verona for the second half of the 2015/16 season.

His career took off after his move to Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2016. He scored 25 goals and registered 12 assists in 100 appearances for the club over the course of three Bundesliga seasons. He also became a regular member of the Croatian national team (28 appearances, 3 goals) and played a key role in their run to the World Cup final in 2018. He arrived at AC Milan in the summer of 2019 and became the protagonist of an exciting season finale after a difficult start scoring 12 goals in total.
