Charles De Ketelaere was born in Bruges on 10 March 2001, with his football career beginning in his home city. Indeed, he became part of the Club Brugge youth setup in 2009 and went on to make his professional debut ten years later when he took to the pitch in the Belgian Cup in September 2019.

Less than a month later, he made his UEFA Champions League debut against Paris Saint-Germain. His first European goal, meanwhile, arrived the following season: he found the net against Zenit St. Petersburg both home and away during the group stage of Europe's premier competition.

Despite his young age, De Ketelaere has already won several trophies during his career so far: three consecutive league titles (from 2019/20 to 2021/22) and two Super Cups. He played a key role in these triumphs, too, scoring 25 goals and providing 20 assists in 120 appearances for the Blauw-Zwart. Furthermore, as of July 2022, Charles has won eight caps for Belgium and scored one goal, which came against Italy in the Nations League.
