Born on 18 September 1998 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Christian Pulisic established himself from a very young age as one of the most promising talents in American football. His development took place between England (at Brackley Town) and the United States, with PA Classics. A first turning point in his career came in January 2015, when he joined the Borussia Dortmund youth setup. With the Yellow-and-Blacks he made his first-team debut in 2016, with his debut on 30 January against Ingolstadt and his first goal on 17 April against Hamburg. At Dortmund he won his first trophy (the 2016/17 German Cup), made his Champions League debut and collected 19 goals and 26 assists in 127 appearances.
He moved to Chelsea in the summer of 2019 and quickly left his mark in the Premier League too: the match of his first goal (a win at Burnley in October 2019) saw him score a perfect hat-trick, with a header, a left-foot finish and a right-foot finish. His best year was 2020/21, when he was a leading figure in the Champions League won by the Blues: first with a goal and an assist over the two legs of the Semi-final against Real Madrid, then in the Porto Final won against Manchester City. Also in 2021 came the European Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup wins. After four seasons in London he joined AC Milan in the summer of 2023, and his impact in Rossonero colours has been significant: he rewrote his personal goal-scoring record (15 in 2023/24, 17 in 2024/25, when he was our top scorer of the season). Decisive in the Supercoppa Italiana 2025 win in Riyadh - he scored in both the Semi-final against Juventus and the Final against Inter - by June 2026 he had 42 total goals in 134 overall appearances.
Also worth noting is his journey with Team USA, of which he has been a key reference since his debut in March 2016. On 20 November 2018, in a friendly against Italy, he became the youngest captain in the history of the US national team. With the USA he has won two CONCACAF Nations League titles (2020 and 2023), in addition to taking part in the 2022 World Cup, the 2024 Copa América and the 2026 World Cup; by May 2026 he had scored 33 goals in 86 international appearances.
