36 year-old Romanian goalkeeper Ciprian Tătărușanu is an experienced shot-stopper. Before joining the Rossoneri, he had spells with Juventus Bucharest, Gloria Bistrita, Steaua Bucharest, Fiorentina, Nantes and Olympique Lyon.

Prior to his stay in Milan, he had won 2 league titles, 1 Romanian Cup and 1 Romanian Super Cup, and was a starter in Romania's 2016 European Championship campaign. Overall, he made 73 appearances for the national side before retiring on 13 November 2020.

Across the last two seasons, he has played 14 times in total, featuring in Serie A, Coppa Italia, Champions League and Europa League games. In his first year with the club (2020/21), he was influential in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 match against Torino, eventually winning on penalties, and also in the double header with Sparta Prague in the Europa League group stages. During the Scudetto-winning season of 2021/22, his penalty save from Lautaro Martínez, in the first derby of the season, was simply unforgettable and proved to be one of the most decisive moments of the season.
