Born in 1986, Romanian goalkeeper Ciprian Tătărușanu is a very experienced player between the sticks. Before joining AC Milan, he played for Juventus București, Gloria Bistrița, Steaua București, Fiorentina, Nantes, and Lyon.

During his career so far, he’s won two league titles, one Romanian Cup and one Romanian Super Cup. A pillar of his national team, he was Romania’s first-choice goalkeeper at the 2016 European Championship. He made 73 official appearances before he announced his international retirement on 13 November 2020.

In his first season at AC Milan, he played in five matches between Serie A, Coppa Italia, and the Europa League. His contributions were decisive, especially in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 match against Torino, when he saved a vital penalty against Rincón, allowing the team to progress to the next round. In addition to this, in both European group stage matches against Sparta Prague, Tătărușanu kept two clean sheets, helping the squad to finish in first place in the group.
