David Odogu was born in Berlin on 3 June 2006 to a family of Nigerian origin, on his father's side. His first experience of football came in the ranks of Steglitzer SC Südwest, and after a season at Union Berlin, he moved to the Wolfsburg Youth Sector in 2020. He made his professional debut with the Saxon club in the 2024/25 season, making three appearances in total. It is worth highlighting his experiences in the German youth national teams, because David was part of the team that won the 2023 Under-17 European Championship in Hungary, as well as the Under-17 World Cup in Indonesia.
