Oluwafikayomi Oluwadamilola Fikayo Tomori was born in Calgary, Canada, on 19 December 1997 and developed as a centre-back with impressive physical-athletic qualities and important technical attributes, making him particularly effective both as a stopper and as a deep-lying playmaker in the build-up phase.
From Chelsea to Chelsea, the start of his career was painted Blue: he grew up in the youth setup, made his first-team debut in May 2016 and returned in 2019 after loan spells, all in the English Championship, at Brighton, Hull City and finally Derby County. In total, 118 appearances and four goals. Earlier, he had also won two UEFA Youth League titles with the Chelsea youth sides: first in 2014/15 and then in 2015/16, scoring in the final in Nyon. With the England national team he won an Under-20 World Cup (South Korea 2017) and made his senior debut on 17 November 2019.
Since arriving at AC Milan in January 2021, his impact has been significant: by June 2026 he had reached 214 appearances across all competitions with 7 goals. He stood out, in terms of performance, especially during the run that made Milan the best defence in Serie A 2021/22 and the team with the most clean sheets, conceding just 9 goals in the entire second half of the season on the way to the 19th Rossonero Scudetto. He was also a key figure in the Supercoppa Italiana 2025 win in Riyadh.
