Francesco Camarda was born in Milan on 10 March 2008 and, from a very young age, has linked his human, athletic and footballing growth to AC Milan. Signed to our youth setup since the 2015/16 season, he flew through the ranks at Vismara in a path full of formative experiences, peaking with the Under-15 Scudetto in 2022, decided by his goal in the Final. He joined Milan Primavera in 2023/24: an important season, ended in double figures of goals and helping the team reach a historic UEFA Youth League final (after a brace on his European debut against Newcastle). Not just youth football, though: on 25 November 2023 Francesco became the youngest player ever to make his debut for AC Milan and in all of Serie A, coming on for Luka Jović in the closing stages of Milan-Fiorentina at the age of 15 years, 8 months and 15 days.
The following season Camarda was part of the inaugural campaign of the Milan Futuro project and, despite some physical issues, performed well in Serie C with 7 goals in 20 appearances across the league and cup. In addition to a further 10 Serie A appearances (including his first start on 9 November in Cagliari), he also made his absolute Champions League debut in the win over Club Brugge, a match in which he became the youngest Italian to appear in the top European competition at 16 years and 226 days. He continued his footballing development in 2025/26 on loan at Lecce, contributing to the Salentini's survival with 21 appearances and his first ever Serie A goal, a decisive strike for the home draw against Bologna. During the season also came his first experiences with the Under-21s (with a goal on debut against Sweden in Cesena), capping a journey with the Italy youth sides that has seen him win the 2024 Under-17 European Championship, as well as his senior Italy debut in June 2026, in the friendly against Luxembourg.
