Birth Date:08 March 2002
Born in 2002, Lorenzo Colombo is another graduate of the Rossoneri’s Youth Sector. He joined AC Milan as a youngster after making his first moves in football with Buraghese. The powerful centre-forward has really put his foot on the gas in recent years. In 2019/20, he played his first season with the Primavera, which was cut short by a bad injury to his foot that kept him out for months. Upon his return, he got the chance to show his quality; nine goals in six games.
These figures earned him a chance to feature for the First Team, making his debut on 12 June 2020 at the Allianz Stadium against Juventus in the semi-final of the Coppa Italia. He made his Serie A debut more recently, coming off the bench to replace Rebić against Crotone on 27 September 2020. He marked his European debut with a goal against Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt in the third round of Europa League qualifying. Lorenzo is now with Bollini’s Italy Under-20 side, but he particularly distinguished himself with the Under-17s, twice reaching the final of the Euros, even scoring a brace against the Netherlands in the 2019 final, in spite of defeat.
Ice cold in the box, Colombo is a left-footer with an eye for goal, capable of scoring from distance too - as we saw in the friendly on 5 September 2020 against Monza at San Siro. To his on-field arsenal of skills he adds power and personality, traits that have allowed him to carve out a spot for himself in the First Team.
